The beach in Rome is reality.
For the fourth consecutive year, under Marconi Bridge, will be set up Tiberis, the beach on the Tiber.
Opening scheduled for June
The main change concerns the period in which space will be available two months in advance compared to the calendar of 2020. The intentions of Roma Capitale are to make available the beach as early as June 1. And at least until September 12, Romans will be able to find the chairs, tables, umbrellas that have characterized previous editions.

As has already happened in the past, the City Council has decided to test the ground to offer a food and beverage service. In 2019, the attempt had failed. The proposal to use truck bars and ape cars had not enticed any operator. This year Roma Capitale decided to try again, entrusting Zetèma with the task of publishing the call for tenders.
The Municipality’s expectations of the roman beach
The operators interested in carrying out the service will have to provide an advanced description of the “activity and the general philosophy to which it is marked, with evidence of the proposals that you intend to make to enrich the offer,” for example, indicating whether there will be a DJ set in the background if there is animation and if you bet on unique formulas for the aperitif. They will also have to detail what kind of set-up they intend to realize (if they will use ape cars, food trucks, porters) and also what type of food and wine offer they plan to put in place. In past editions, Romans who went to the Tiber beach had to make do with snack and beverage machines.
When the beach in rome will be ready
According to what is written in the announcement published by Zetèma, the catering service will have to be guaranteed from Tuesday to Thursday from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, and from Friday to Sunday until 9.00 pm. The access to the area of the event will be, as always, free of charge and limited to a maximum of 200 people at the same time. Interested operators will have to send their offers by May 26. Seven days later, Tiberis will open its doors. And that means that, in less than three weeks, under Marconi bridge, everything will be ready.
